Abstract

1520677 Clamps DYCKERHOFF & WIDMANN AG 16 Feb 1976 [15 Feb 1975] 05992/76 Heading E2B [Also in Division F2] A group of prestressing tendons 6 are stressed by a jack via a device which includes a hollow support 7, which abuts an anchor plate I in which the tendons are wedged by multiple-part clamping collars 5, a backing plate 19 to which the collars are attached, and a holding plate 20 adjustably mounted with respect both to the backing plate and to the support 7. In initial tensioning the collar 5 are drawn out until they contact plate 20 (Fig. 3), and when the tension is released, they are carried back into plate 1. If a reduction in tension is required later, the stress is taken up by a jack again, plate 20 is moved out by rotating body 7 (to Fig. 1 position) and threaded rods 25 are employed to pull out plate 19, with collar 5, to the position shown in Fig. 4. The tension is then reduced, and plate 19 can be moved back. The collar 5 may have three main parts held together by a spring, whilst the bush 16 forming the rear of the collar may be in two parts, similarly held together.
