Abstract

Flexible non-vulcanised plastic tube is pref. extruded and includes a pref. textile reinforcement. A fusible material e.g., the plastic from which the tube is extruded penetrates the interstices of the reinforcement. The reinforcement may be a helical winding of yarn or a braid and is pref. encapsulated in the wall of the tube. The tubes may be used for hydraulic brake pipes of vehicles or for pneumatic spray guns. The reinforcement is integrated in and totally bonded with the wall of the tube thereby increasing the strength of the tube.
