Abstract
The transmission system has a set of pumps connected by an epicycloid gear train to a drive shaft and supplying fluid to a set of motors. A hypocycloidal gear train connects the motors to a gear case which is fixed. The driven shaft of the transmission is connected to the pump and motor bodies. The pumps and motors are of the rotary vane type, their capacity being varied by an hydraulic system. This system is operated in response to the pressure on the high pressure side of the pumps and motors, the system maintaining this level constant.
