Abstract

A flexible plastics sachet (1) of small dimensions, used for disposal of used sanitary towels, has a flap (1') fixed on its top edge adjacent to the opening. This flap can be folded over to close the opening. An auxiliary strip (12) is attached to the top edge of the other plastics side, attachment being along a perforated line (3). The required number of sachets is formed into a perfectly aligned pile on the machine producing them and heated points or a heated blade used to weld together the auxiliary flaps, so giving a group of sachets for sale together.
