Abstract

Fuel supply installation for an I.C. engine with a fuel pump and a carburettor, has a valve unit (14) interposed between the fuel pump (12) and the carburettor with the through flow cross section of the valve capable of being altered in accordance with the fuel pressure changes arising at that point. The unit includes a valve element (10) pressed under spring pressure against a valve seat according to the non-return valve principle. The valve element is made as a ball (10) and the spring tension is adjustable.
