Abstract

The comb type hair cutting implement has a blade (6) fixed in position on the handle (1), with a cover (10) which can slide to adjust the effective depth of comb teeth projecting beyond the cutting edge. A leading section of the handle is recessed to form a plane surface for the blade and comb cover. The blade is fixed by studs through blade holes and located by threaded studs in cover slots (7). Milled wheel nuts (9) screw onto the threaded studs to lock the cover (10) in a desired position. The tranverse edges (11, 12) of the recessed blade seat may guide the cover (10) when sliding. The comb may be double edged with one set of teeth having arrowhead points. The handle and comb may be of plastics with an anti-electrostatic chrome finish.
