Abstract

The tool has a series of positions. There are several settings for the amount of protrusion of the knife blade or the blade can be fully retracted on the handle. There is a fixture for holding the two handle shells together and the outlet for the knife blade is entirely in one shell. The holding device consists of a grub screw. The side of the first shell has a serrated edge and there is a ratchet that fits through the knife blade holding it in position.
