Abstract

The addition is an improvement of the plastic ring for centering and making fluid-tight a discardable filter cartridge of the parent patent. It has a base with a connecting sleeve projecting into the cartridge. The ring has, at one end, a collar fitting into the central passage of the cartridge and a shoulder bearing against the end of the cartridge, and at the other end an annular part with a surface bearing against the internal surface of the base, around the sleeve. The annular part can be fitted to sleeves of different diameters. Its internal dia. is greater than the external dia. of the sleeves and it has flexible tongues the ends of which form a circle of smaller dia. than the smallest external sleeve dia. The improvements is in the fact that the annular part has a radial extension from its periphery over the inlet holes so as to form a non-return valve. The extension and the annular part are moulded in one piece.
