Abstract

The hose coupling has an inner ring (9) with a tubular section (1) and a first flange (7) extending radially outwards, dividing the outer surface of the tubular section into two parts (3, 5). An outer ring (17) has a cylindrical section (11) of larger internal dia. than the external dia. of the first flange, and a second flange (15) extending radially inwards to form an opening (13) of greater dia. than the tubular section. The outer ring is fitted onto the tubular section over the first part of its outer surface (3), until the two flanges bear against each other. This forms an annular recess (19) between the second part (5) of the outer surface and the outer ring, in which the hose end is inserted.
