Abstract

The arrangement is for thermal treatment of goods packed in containers, especially foodstuffs in glasses. The device consists of a continuous feeder with hanging box-shaped carriers. The machine is distinguished by arranging a part of one of the long upright walls of each carrier to be adjustable between closing and opening positions. Wall adjustment is provided for by operating means in the vicinity of the loading and discharge position. The front wall is secured to a lever whose end protrudes from the carrier and engages a cam track at the loading and discharge station. The back wall has an opening for a plunger at the discharge station to pass through.
