Abstract

The clutch has a rotor in a housing and the cylindrical inductor drum rotatable w.r.t. the rotor. It has a uniform reluctance in the direction parallel to its axis. The cooling fluid is fed into the housing for removal of heat generated in the drum. It is closed to or in contact with the drum outer surface and is guided into slots between ribs. Each fluid pipe has expansion means for matching the drum thermal expansion. The inductor drum (125) is fixed to one end of the coupling and the coupling member (175) near the other end. The position of the coupling is axially adjustable by means of a small sliding movement.
