Abstract

PURPOSE: To thin the portion in the thrust direction of a solenoid coupling device and increase its permissible heat capacity, by forming a U-shaped stator through machining or with a pipe, its side opposed to a lining being open, and composing a magnetic circuit utilizing a part of a mate device.
CONSTITUTION: Several long holes 18a for magnetic shielding windows are made on the bottom of a U-shaped stator 18, formed or made with a pipe, in the circumferential direction to fix a lining 10. An exciting coil 8 is put in the stator 18 from an opening and fixed with resin 9. The bottom of the stator 18 is used as a friction face and the lining 10 is kept untouched with the resin 9, so that the difference in thermal expansion can be ignored to increase the permissible heat capacity. The cost of the device is minimized, because a bracket 19 of a machine 1 including a motor is utilized as component of a magnetic circuit on the side without lining.
