Abstract

Household scales have a vertically moving part supporting the load against the action of an elastic balancing device. A roller guiding device is positioned between the moving and fixed parts. The guiding device has three or more roller trains (28) extending in radial planes which pass through the guiding axis. Each roller idles about a rotation axis orthogonal to the guiding axis. An anti-gyration roller (43) extends in a plane parallel to the guiding axis. The indicator device between the fixed and moving parts is of the floating type and does not transmit any opposing force to the elastic balancing device. This includes a pointer (56) moved by a rack (65) and pinion (64).
