Abstract

The composite-structure motor vehicle wing has an upper part of sheet metal (1) forming a structure progressively absorbing the energy of a severe impact, and a lower part (5) of synthetic polymer material resistant to scratches in the event of a slight shock. The upper part can be lengthwise girder, and the lower one can have internal transverse partitions to increase the stiffness. The two parts can fit one inside the other. The lower part can have an internal flange for mounting to the vehicle. It can be of flexible synthetic polymer material, with internal clip portions by which it engages with the upper part.
