Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively reduce the noise of vibration by forming an oil pan for automobile engine with a compound member consisting of two sheets of steel plate with a plastic sheet inserted between. CONSTITUTION:A oil pan consists of two sheets of steel plates 1 and 1 with a plastic sheet melted and fitted by heat between. The sheet 2 is made of olefin resin-plastic material containing 20-60 weight per cent of carbon fiber and having a comparatively low pour point of 150 deg.C or less. The olefin resin-plastic sheet has an excellent capacity of absorbing vibration.
