Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent noises at the roof of a car surely by adhering a ceiling material, which is composed of a core and linings formed into a single solid body, to the roof panel. CONSTITUTION:A ceiling material 10 is composed of a core 11 and linings 12, formed into a single solid body by molding them in compliance with the configuration of the roof panel 1, and thereby has a rather high stiffness. The core 11 is constituted by laminating foaming polyethylene layers 14 and corrugated cardboards 13 processed with plastics, laid one over another, while the lining 12 is made of polyvinyl chrolide sheet etc. This ceiling material l0 is adhered to the inner surface 2 of the roof panel 1 through an elastoviscous substance 15. According, the stiffness of this molded material 10 can enhance the tensile stiffness of the roof panel 1 and suppress vibrations, and further the elasticity of the elastoviscous substance 15 can absorb the vibrative energy of the roof panel 1. Thus noises caused by vibration can be surely prevented.
