An internal lining for a vehicle comprises an air-permeable heat and sound insulating layer 1, an air-permeable trim layer 4, and an intermediate layer 2 between the layers 1 and 4, the layer 2 being perforated so that it is airpermeable. As described, the layer 1 is of resin-bonded glass-fibre material, the layer 4 is of fabric, and the layer 2 is of thermoplastic film having closely spaced, fine, needle-produced holes 3. The lining may be for a bulkhead or wall of a vehicle or is a headliner for a car or other vehicle, in which case it provides sound absorption, panel damping of the roof to which it is applied, and a reduction in heat transmission through the roof.
