Abstract
The collector has a tube (1) through which the heat transfer fluid flows. The lower part (3) of this tube extends beyond the tube to form the lower internal wall (4) of the collector. This wall is shaped as a parabola and forms a reflector surface. At its upper end it has a series of horizontal sheets (5) closing the opening of the parabola. The whole of this structure is extruded in one piece from a suitable plastic material such as polyethylene. The plates form a cover transparent to radiation. The parabolic interior is lined with reflecting material and the collector tube is painted black. Several such extruded sections can be placed side by side to form a collector of any required size.
