Abstract

The collector consists of preferably extruded ribbed tubes (1) arranged next to one another, with curved ribs (2, 3) arranged sideways. The ends of the ribs (2, 3) overlap with the aid of ends (4) which are horizontal or bent in a U-shape. At the ends, the individual ribbed tubes (1) are connected by U-shaped tube bends pushed into their ends. The ribbed tubes (1) are arranged horizontally in the use position. As a result of this arrangement, the free air convection in the collector is reduced considerably. This heat exchanger for solar collectors, in which the tubes are designed in one piece with the ribs, is capable of delivering diffuse and reflected radiation by heat conduction to the tube and to the medium guided in the interior of the latter.
