Abstract

The rigid plastic frame (1) for lining window openings, may be fabricated from glass fibre reinforced polyester resin, and provides a seat for the window frame. When in position the lining frame entirely covers the soffit (5), side walls (3, 4) and bottom faces of the window opening. The window frame (15) may be mounted, bedded on a sealing strip (17), in a rebate (16) provided at the rear of the lining frame. The soffit member (5) may support an inverted 'U' section casing (6) for the accommodation of a roller blind winding drum and may incorporate a flap (21) for access to the drum. Blind guidance grooves may be provided in lining side walls (3, 4).
