Abstract

The valve slider is actuated by the shaft (13) and is provided with a spring loaded device which tends to keep the slider in its mid-position. The end of the shaft (13) is provided with a transverse hole which fits the head of the pin (19) which is fitted into the actuating shaft (16). Rotation of the shaft (16) in either direction pushes the slider in a corresponding direction until the head of the pin (19) moves outside the transverse hole. The spherical head of the pin (19) then abuts against the spherical surface of the countersinking of the transverse hole. The shaft (13) is then held firmly in the extreme position.
