Abstract

The platform has multiple positions allowing loading, unloading and manoeuvring of loads. It is a combination of two parallel slideways, hinged at the rear on the chassis and a platform (6) pinned to them and having two rollers sliding on the ways. In addition, there is an operating ram (8) which is pivoted at either end. This ram can both slide the platform backwards and forwards and also tilt it as required. The rollers have their travel limited by end stops and also by guiding claws. The arrangement gives greatly improved positioning of loads on the platform, unobtainable by more usual arrangements.
