Abstract
The lorry transports the cars on two levels, each level having a loading surface in two sections, each accommodating one car. One section at least of each level can tilt on a transverse axis so as to allow the cars on the level concerned to overlap. At the top level, only the front loading surface (1b) tilts downwards about its axis at the front (1f). At the lower level, the rear section (1a') tilts upwards about its axis (1e) at the rear end. Compared with existing designs, the arrangement enables the tilting mechanism for the loading surfaces to be greatly simplified.
