Abstract

A compsn. is claimed comprising a polyisocyanata trimer blocked by dibutylamine or epsilon-caprolactam, and an anionic dispersant in an amt. sufficient to disperse the compsn. in water. The pref. compsn. comprises blocked toluene diisocyanate trimer and 0.5-35 pts. wt. sodium dioctyl sulphosuccinate per 100 pts. wt. trimer. Aqs. dispersion of the compsn. in conjunction with a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin dispersion or a latex is used as adhesive for bonding polyester (cords) with elastomeric materials, e.g. for the prodn. of tyres. The compsn. needs only one application and the coating hardens in one step.
