Abstract

A self-supporting polyurethane varnish layer is formed by a branched polyester contg. Oh gps. with an aliphatic, trifunctional isocyanate used in an amt. which is 10% less than the equivalent amt. of OH gps. and applying the mixt. on a siliconised auxiliary inert support. The mixture is dried and cured and the auxiliary support removed. Pref. the varnish is coated with an adhesive.
