Abstract

A fret saw with both ends of its blade gripped between jaws and with a tensioning device incorporated in its handle, has each pair of jaws terminating in a hexagonal block, against which rests a bolt attached to the vertical leg of the frame. The attachment for this bolt is a slider which can be raised or lowered along this part of the frame, and consisting of two U shaped pieces (40, 41), one having a space (42) inside it and through which passes a locking screw (43) which also passes through a slot in the frame, then into a tapped hole through the other U piece (41). A domed washer (48) around this screw is positioned inside the space (42) of the first piece (40). A connection at the top of one of the vertical legs of the frame also includes a slider and locking screw.
