Abstract

An auxiliary resistance (8) connected in series with a thermostat (9) is mounted near a support (7) in the heater outlet passage. The thermostat is sensitive to the temperature of this support. The latter can be in the form of a metal sheet, the thermostat being in contact with it at a point where it is exposed to the radiation emanating from the passage (2) through the storage core (3). The passage is an inverted U in the form and there is a ventilator (1) which draws air from the room through the passage, the ventilator and resistance not necessarily being switched on at the same time.
