Abstract

The carburettor is provided with a first pneumatic unit consisting of a depression dependent diaphragm connected by a slotted pull rod to the choke flap spindle actuator arm and able to partly open the choke flap as soon as the engine fires. A second depression dependent pneumatic unit is also provided to completely open the choke flap after a time lapse of four to eight seconds after the engine has started. The movement of the second pneumatic unit actuates a third pneumatic unit which increases the air feed volume during the choke flap opening phase, to the fuel distributor chamber. The auxiliary fuel feed is gradually suspended as the engine warms up by the action of a valve which expands correspondingly to engine generated heat to close the fuel distributor valve feed.
