Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent that mixture becomes too rich after starting of engine, by controlling the opening of choke valve after starting of engine by means of a temperature sensor, expansible in response to the temperature of air around the engine, which is operatively connected to a member adapted for opening and closing the choke valve of carburetor.
CONSTITUTION: A choke valve 1 is connected via a lever 6 and a rod 7 to a diaphragm 9 which constitutes a choke breaker. When a partial vacuum developed in the intake pipe at the starting of engine is introduced into a vacuum chamber 8, the choke valve 1 is opened slightly. Further, levers 3, 4 are fixed to the valve shaft of choke valve 1 in the manner that they face toward each other, and a temperature sensor 5 having a temperature-sensitive material sealed therein is in turn fixed to the lever 4. With such an arrangement, a sensor 5 is expanded along with rise in the ambient temperature and pushes the lever 3 forcibly, so that opening of choke valve 1 is further increased.
