Abstract
PURPOSE: To preferentially operate a brake to an accelerator unit by dividing a servo motor into low and high gas pressure chambers via a diaphragm, communicating the low and high gas pressure chambers with the low and high gas pressure chambers, respectively of a brake servo motor and providing a gas pressure difference responsive member and a control spring in the low gas pressure chamber.
CONSTITUTION: When an accelerator pedal 5 is depressed, an accelerator rod 6 is moved in the direction of an arrow to allow a gas pressure difference responsive member 7 and a connecting rod 9 to be moved through a control spring 13 in the same direction to thereby open a throttle valve 11. When a brake pedal 16 is depressed in this state, the high gas pressure chamber 18 of a servo motor 15 becomes atmospheric pressure to thereby cause the high gas pressure chamber 4 of an accelerator unit 1 to become the atmospheric pressure. Thus, there occurs gas pressure difference btween the high and the low gas pressure chambers 4 and 3, and a diaphragm 2 accordingly urges the member 7 in the direction for closing the throttle valve while compressing the spring 13. Accordingly, the throttle valve 11 is closed. Thus, the brake is preferentially operated when the accelerator and brake pedals are simultaneously depressed.
