Abstract

The loudspeaker consists of a magnet mounted on its frame, a membrane assembly and a suspension device mounted movable in the frame. The membrane assembly has a membrane (12) and a tube (26) coaxial with the magnet (17) and on or close to the suspension device (14). The frame (16) is constructed to leave the whole of the rear side of the membrane free. A second moving coil (22) is mounted on the tube between the second set of poles of the magnet. The first moving coil is located around the membrane stem and between the first pole pair of the magnet coaxially inside the second pole pair.
