Abstract

A stretching device on a stretch and false twist texturing machine for unstretched or partially stretched thermoplastic yarns, has two belt feeders running at adjustably different speeds. At the first feeder in the line of motion of the yarn, on the pivoting arm supporting the rollers found which the belt is slung, a bracket is positioned which supports at its free end on an axis parallel to the axes of the rollers, a stretching spindle with means of guiding the thread sideways. The device enables an unstretched, untwisted group of filaments to be threated through the drafting arrangements without the risk of looping round the rollers and thread breakages.
