Abstract

Water propelled by centrifugence is brought to tubes at the outlet of a combustion chamber in which a hydrogen/oxygen produced by electrolysis mixture is burned. The water is converted to steam which is passed through a turbine that drives a generator, the exhaust steam from the turbine being condensed to produce pure water. Used in schemes for accumulating electrical energy in forms that allow it to be re-used, e.g. electrolysis of water using unwanted electricity to produce H2 and O2 then burning the H2 and O2 to recover the energy by steam prodn. Allows the accumulation of the total load of a nuclear power station during off-peak periods in a form that can be re-use.
