Abstract
PURPOSE: Decomposition of ammonia and removal of hydrogen sulfide are combined, whereby the purification of high-temperature gases containing impurities as coal gas and the purging of exhausted gases are performed with high efficiency, thus operating power-generating system without secondary pollution.
CONSTITUTION: Coal 1 is gasified with steam and air in gasification furnace 21, hydrogen sulfide is removed by converting it to iron sulfide in desulfurizer 22, and the resulting coal gas is sent to ammonia decomposer 24. The purified coal gas is sent to burner 25 and converted to high-pressure and high-temperature gas to make turbine 26 and generator 30 rotate. A part of coal gas 3 is added to the exhausted gas and they are oxidized. Amines formed and remaining amonia are converted to nonharmful nitrogen and oxygen by the action of nitrogen oxides accompanied by the exhausted gas 6 in denitrificator 28. The exhausted gas treated with denitrification is fed to waste-heat recovering boiler 29 to convert water 17 to steam 18.
