Abstract

The parent patent describes assembly of clothing from pieces of cloth cut to shape and bonded together by fusing an interlayer film or tape of thermplastic material, instead of using stitched seams. This addn. extends the use of fused seams for garments incorporating layers of nonfusible foam materials. Esp. suitable for fabrication of protective clothing such as chemical resistant gloves. Pref., for assemblies including polyurethane foam, the bonding agent is polyethylene.
