Abstract

The shuttering acts as the main reinforcement for the compression zone of a concrete floor. The shuttering comprises a succession of sheets, each sheet having a convex half-corrugation with an adjacent flat section. The underside of the shuttering is coated with a layer of fire-resistant insulating light-weight concrete. The shuttering extends beyond the end of the beam/slab and onto support whilst the inside of the beam is filled with ordinary concrete to cast the floor. The beams can also have an I-section.
