Abstract

Device for recovering dusts and heat from the fumes arising from an ore sintering belt, consists of an assembly of devices actuated so that the fumes from the last wind boxes are recycled to the middle wind boxes. The devices pref. include a fan, pipes and a hood fitted with a pressure measuring unit controlling the admission of air via a valve, and where oxygen is injected into the air via an oxygen analyser monitoring the compsn. of the gas fed into the hood; and a homogeniser is pref. used to mix the gases before they enter the hood. The fumes from the last wind boxes are very hot and contain a large amt. of dust; they also constitute a high proportion of the total fumes; the invention permits the recovery of the heat and dust.
