Abstract

The profiled section is used for making of a frame of a window or a door. This profile is made by an extrusion process and it has a guide groove for holding actuating rods of different profiles and on this profile can be fitted also a sliding element for a stay rod. The side walls (4, 5) of the groove have inwards facing ribs (6) and guide ribs (7) which are parallel with the inwards projecting ribs (6). An additional but shallower guide groove is provided above the main guide rib in the channel wall. The guide groove base has a central deepened channel (10). In a preferred design the distance between the projecting ribs (6) and the guide ribs (7) is the same as that between the bottom member (3) associated with a lower recess (10) and the projecting rib (6) above it.
