Abstract

Two or more U-shaped glass-holder grooves are open in the plane of the pane, each groove comprising two sidewalls and an interconnecting base wall, with a dividing cross arm at right angles to the plane of the pane. The sidewallling sections (13, 14), on each holder groove (2, 3), running away from one outer side (4) of the shaped-section shank (1), are of different lengths, the sidewall facing away from the preceding holder groove (2) being always the shorter one. There may be a protuberance (8, 9) on the open end of the sidewalls, projecting into the holder grooves, and this may have a run-in slope (23) and there may be a retaining roove (19) below it. Frame construction and relative pane positioning are simplified, and glazing with more than two panes is facilitated.
