Abstract

In a platform e.g. for an oil drilling or production rig, for operation at sea, with a deck constructed as a floating body and a foundation unit which floats but can be deposited on the sea bed and in which support legs, along which the deck is guided and can be fixed and extending above the surface of the sea, are anchored, the foundation unit is suspended at least partly by support elements on the floating deck, while being lowered to the sea bed. Provides stability for the foundation body and deck, so that these can be brought to the posn. where the assembly is to be used and installed safely without risk of capsizing, due to e.g. the centre of gravity lying above the centre of press.
