Abstract

In the in situ double glazing of existing window frames, a secondary pane support rebate is cut in the existing frame without dismantling. No additional fitting to the frame is required and the appearance of the window is not changed. The rebate is as cut by means of a special tool, in the moulded interval between window and frame inner face vertical planes, the secondary plane being bedded in mastic after waterproof varnish application.
