Abstract

A window frame made from wood so as to have the appearance of a traditional window with a large number of small panes of glass, consists of a base frame made of horizontal and vertical intterlocking slats, with mouldings attached to the outside faces. The ends of the base frame fit into slots cut into the inside faces of the peripheral frame, which has moulded outside faces. The mouldings forming the outer faces have a groove across their rear for fitting onto the edges of the base frame. Their pointed ends fit into corresponding recesses inside the peripheral frame. Double glass panes and intermediate seals are sandwiched between the mouldings.
