Abstract

The multiplexing circuit enables the pre-modulation of conversation channels of a telephone system and direct modulation of the signalling channels which transposes the calling signals into the respective frequency multiplex group. The conversation channels (CE1-12) are pre-modulated (3) by the first carrier frequency (F) and filtered in a band-pass filter (4). The signalling channels (SE1-12) which are not required to be pre-modulated are modulated simultaneously with the pre-modulated conversation channels, by the second carrier frequency (FM1-12). A third modulator (11) modulates all the channels by the third carrier frequency (F1). This is followed by a passband filter (14) tuned to the multiplex frequency group.
