Abstract

The converter, comprises an A/D unit obtaining the amplitude levels corresponding to the message to be transmitted, and a demultiplexer (6) operating at the sampling frequency of the amplitude levels. The demultiplexed sample channels (Vo-Vn) are transposed within the band of frequency multiplex group, by a pass-band filter (7) inserted in each channel, the upper frequency of which is equal to the highest frequency contained in the message, and the lower cut-off frequency being equal to an integral multiple of the sampling frequency. A modulator (8) follows the filter (7) its carrier frequency transposing the pass-band of the filter (7) into the band of the frequency multiplex group, the modulator supplying a line coupler (3).
