Abstract

Metal building panels which can be quickly assembled without the need for any conventional fixing such as screws or bolts, particularly useful in the construction of temporary buildings, have rigid flanged edges which can be of any desired shape as long as the panels can be linked together without any other fixing being used. The panels once erected are locked together by means of hollow section capping pieces at the top and bottom of the panels which span across several panels, making the wall rigid. In one design, straps projecting from the edge of one panel, passing through slots in the edge of an abutting panel, are twisted for connection before the capping pieces are fitted.
