Abstract

Conveyor device for flat objects, particularly sheets of paper, envelopes etc., consists of a number of belts (3a, 3b) internally toothed, running on toothed pulleys (2) on shafts (1). The lower strand of the belt moves just above a polished surface (4) and the objects (5) are moved across the surface by the friction of the belts. Because the belts are toothed they move at equal speed and there is no distortion of the sheets. The speed at which the sheets move can be easily controlled and the forces needed to move the objects are reduced because of the smooth surface.
