Abstract

A flexible belt encloses the product and therfore allows a greater lift angle for the conveyor than normal. The conveyor consists of an endless belt passing over two rollers, one of which is motor driven. The belt is flexible and is guided along the edges so as to close over the product being handled along the upper and lower runs. The increased friction on the product prevents slipping back and allows a steeper conveyor. The endless belt has teeth along its edges so that the edges lock together along the upper and lower runs.
