(I):- (where R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl or COR3; R2 is H or 1-4C alkyl; R3 is aralkyl or alkyl opt. unsatd. and contng. up to 10C, aryl contng. up to 10C and opt. substd. by alkyl, amino or MeO, NH2, NMe2 or 1-4C alkoxy, A is CnH2n; n is 1-6; Ar is nitro phenyl or phenyl opt. substd. by 1-4C alkoxy or -alkyl, CF3 or halogen, provided that the group does not represent 5-R2-pyrazolyl-3-unsubstd. in the 1-position when Ar is nitro phenyl, or phenyl substd. by 1-4C alkoxy and/or -alkyl, CF3 and/or halogen), are prepd. by reacting a pyrazolylakyl ester with an aryl piperazine.
