Abstract

The panel reduces the heat loss by radiation as well as being cheaper to manufacture than conventional panels with the same level of efficiency. Each basic element consists of a plate, one side of which (2) contains recesses. The plate is several centemiters thick and is made of any appropriate insulating material. A panel is composed of any number of plates, one on top of the other. Between each pair of plates is placed a reflector (9) made of a metal sheet fixed on a paper base and glued onto the solid surface of one plate so that the reflecting face is towards the recesses in the adjoining plate. The plates are held together by a reinforcement to form a panel.
