Abstract

This inclined burner grate has alternate fixed and moving individual grate plates placed in the direction of refuse movement. While this displacement takes place the end surfaces of the moving plates interlock with the end surfaces of the fixed plates placed beneath them while in the return movement the ends of the moving plates interlock with the ends of the fixed plates above them. In this way the fall of refuse from one plate to the other is greater and a more complete combustion even of bigger parts, is achieved. The fixed plates are shorter than the moving ones.
